Very many businesses are in need of storage boxes for all sorts of items. If you are a manufacturer, you may make a lot of small parts which need to be stored until you put them all together into the finished product, whatever that might be. So you have machines running in your factory which make the parts, and as they are finished they need to be put into a box which, when full, has to be taken to a storage area until those parts are required to complete the final laptop, fridge, lawnmower, golf course buggy, or whatever else it is that you make.
Of course, some businesses don’t require storage boxes. If you run a corner convenience store you actually receive products in boxes which you take out and display on your shelves for sale. You probably then throw the boxes away because you don’t need them, and anyway they are recyclable.
However, many businesses do require storage boxes, and not cheap recyclable cardboard ones at that. Many manufacturers make a lot of small components that, on their own are not very heavy, but when you have a box full of them can be very different. You need boxes which you can use over China Plastic tray manufacturers and over again, and they have to be able to handle heavy weights, so you need extra strong storage boxes.
If you are manufacturing a lot of parts and you need to be able to store them in boxes, you obviously don’t want to take up a lot of space if you can help it, and for this reason, using stackable storage boxes that conform to Euro standards are the answer. These will fit on to either a Euro pallet of 1200mm x 800mm or a UK pallet of 1200 mm x 1000mm. The standard size for a Euro size storage box is 600mm x 400mm, but you can also get larger ones that are 800mm x 600mm and smaller ones that are half size – 400mm x 300mm – and even quarter size which are 300mm x 200mm. If you do the sums you will see that all of these can fit on to the pallets. They just need configuring in the correct way.
There are a number of manufacturers of extra strong storage boxes and they come in a wide range of designs from which you can select according to your needs. For example, if you process fish and have to collect from the boats at the harbour, you will want to use straight-sided plastic boxes with a solid base because these won’t drip during transport and they are also very easy to clean. You may also require them to have a lid, but then again you might not. If you are transporting a lot of fish to your factory, you will obviously want the boxes to be stackable.
Other storage boxes are manufactured with ventilated sides, and these can be used for a wide range of purposes. For instance, if you are in food manufacturing, the contents of ventilated boxes will chill far more quickly and evenly when put into a fridge or freezer than those with solid sides.
Then there is the question of security. If you are storing and transporting products of high value, you won’t want them visible to the public at large. You need boxes with a lid and a secure locking system. For example, you could be transporting expensive watches. You may not need a lot of boxes, but you do need to keep them out of the public eye and as secure as they can be.
